Banana Coffee Smoothie

Enjoy this unique banana coffee smoothie/ milkshake any time of the year.
Ingredient List:
- 1 cup (8-12 ounces) fresh brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 banana, peeled
- 2 tablespoons of sugar (substitute Agave Nectar or honey to taste)
- 1 1/2 cups french vanilla yogurt (regular or low-fat)
- 3-4 drops of vanilla extract
- 5-6 ice cubes
- Optional ingredients; 1 teaspoon chocolate syrup, a few frozen strawberries or other frozen fruit.
Directions:
- 15-20 minutes before mixing your smoothie, put coffee in a shallow pan or pot and place in freezer. Remove when it becomes slushy.
- Slice the banana into 1/4″ thick pieces and place in freezer as well.
- Combine all ingredients in blender.
- Blend and stop as soon as it is smooth.
- Pour into chilled glass and top with whipped cream, fresh strawberry or banana slice.
