Enjoy this unique banana coffee smoothie/ milkshake any time of the year.

Ingredient List:

  • 1 cup (8-12 ounces) fresh brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar (substitute Agave Nectar or honey to taste)
  • 1 1/2 cups french vanilla yogurt (regular or low-fat)
  • 3-4 drops of vanilla extract
  • 5-6 ice cubes
  • Optional ingredients; 1 teaspoon chocolate syrup, a few frozen strawberries or other frozen fruit.

Directions:

  1. 15-20 minutes before mixing your smoothie, put coffee in a shallow pan or pot and place in freezer. Remove when it becomes slushy.
  2. Slice the banana into 1/4″ thick pieces and place in freezer as well.
  3. Combine all ingredients in blender.
  4. Blend and stop as soon as it is smooth.
  5. Pour into chilled glass and top with whipped cream, fresh strawberry or banana slice.
  6. ENJOY!
